Training to improve your skills

Ptarmigan Staffing Solutions offer training courses to job seekers, covering all job skills with an emphasis on customer service.

Our courses are designed to ensure that staff are fully competent with their job role. Ptarmigan-trained staff are knowledgeable, courteous and highly motivated team workers.

We have our own experienced Perth-based trainers, and specialist training elsewhere can be easily arranged, depending on requirements, such as fork-lift training.

Ptarmigan Staffing Solutions training courses started in June 2009 on a monthly basis with ad-hoc sessions as required. We offer all types of full-day courses or half-day refresher courses.

Courses include:

• Basic IT skills: includes Introduction to Windows 7/Windows Vista/XP/2000, using Word and Excel, using the internet and sending/receiving e-mails
• Delivering customer service excellence
• Presentation skills and public speaking
• Retail and sales skills
• Up-selling – how to build sales in the field
• Disability awareness – includes What is Disability?, disabled etiquette, giving assistance, correct use of wheelchair ramps, DDA compliance
• Retailing to disabled customers

Cost: £20 per person per day. Price includes light refreshments.
